Happy Remembrance Day from Quito Ecuador, final update (Brendan Bannon)
This is Summits of Hope Ecuador team member Brendan Bannon calling with a final update from Quito Ecuador. It's late in the morning right now and the team is...some are getting ready to depart fairly soon for home where as others are going to be continuing their adventures in Ecuador and various places. We just wanted to say hello one last time. Everybody is still doing great! And furthermore we just wanted to wish everybody a happy Remembrance Day back home in Canada. And we want to acknowledge the sacrifices made by the men and women of the Canadian Forces since World War I until this date. We also want to acknowledge the sacrifices made of all Commonwealth Forces, as well as our brothers and sisters to the south in the US in their military. It's a very special day. As well as we want to acknowledge the fact that it's been 12 straight years since Canada has been in a combat role, so we just want to acknowledge the sacrifices made by the forces. And apart from that, hope everyone is doing well back home. We want to say a final hello to the kids at BC Children's Hospital and also thank our main sponsors, the North Face and Icebreaker who have kept us nice and warm and in good shape during our adventures in Ecuador. Thanks everybody again and you should also remember you can still make donations to BC Children's Hospital at summitsofhope.com. Thanks again and bye for now from Quito Ecuador.
