Support me on my quest to raise funds for BC Children's Hospital.
With every tiresome step, with every challenging moment, with every time I feel like I can’t go any further and just want to turn back, I think of the kids at BC Children’s Hospital. What the kids go through on a daily basis and the courage and perseverance they have to have. They give me strength, and motivate me to keep pushing forward.
Why the pink toque? For a very special girl name Hannah, who passed away with brain cancer at an age much too young. Hannah’s favorite color was pink. On the toque is a dandelion because every time Hannah saw a "merry wisher" (a dandelion) she would pick it up, and make a wish… she always wished "that everyone could play in the snow". I also climb and wear the pink toque for my close friend, Hannah’s uncle who within a short span lost his niece, his father and his sister (Hannah’s mom) to cancer. The Hannah's Heroes Foundation has been established to raise awareness and funds for pediatric Brain Cancer research. Summits of Hope supports Hannah’s Heroes and their ongoing research at BC Children’s Hospital to help find a cure. http://hannahsheroes.com
