About Me

Hello! I am both excited and grateful for the opportunity to hike Mount Kilimanjaro the highest mountain in Africa, with my girlfriend Dianne Smith! I have trekked in the past in India to the Goecha La in Sikkim. Various hikes and treks in Himichal Pradesh, and Coorg in South India. Hikes in beautiful BC include Joffre Lakes, Garibaldi, Mount Assiniboine and others. I have a decade of forestry experience working in the backcountry of Coastal British Columbia ad well. In addition to hiking I enjoy cycling, surfing, yoga, weightlifting and playing guitar. Lately I've been thinking more about how to give back to the community and help others. Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with Summits of Hope is a great opportunity to both support a good cause and hike with like minded people. Thank you so much for donating! Funds donated go to essential medical equipment, toys and entertainment for sick children and much more. 100% of funds raised are donated to BC Children's Hospital.
