My name is Ariana and I’ve never climbed a mountain. Three years ago my mom told me she was climbing Kilimanjaro and I told her she was crazy! Six months later as I was welcoming here back having summited the highest peak in Africa I remember feeling so inspired. I feel very connected to Children’s hospital, as they have helped one of my best friends over the years and once being a patient myself after an injury in India. Suffering can often feel very isolating and the thing that most stood out to me was how many people took time to make me feel safe and supported while I was recovering at children’s
It’s always been a goal of mine to help children but I never thought I was going to "climb" to do it. The idea of spending days and nights climbing through jungles I have never seen at altitudes I have never been scares me but I know with the support of our wonderful team and trekking along side my amazing mom I will make it! BTW - we have a bet who's going to raise the most so please pledge ME!!
MACHU PICCHU here I come.
